Aim of the course
Due to laws changing in 1999, all Asbestos importation, supply and use is banned in the UK. But for buildings that were built before 1999, that still contain Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM’s), if any work is needed to be done, and there is a risk the asbestos fibres will be disturbed, steps need to be taken and the ACM’s need to be managed effectively and safely.
Due to the risk that disturbed Asbestos fibres can cause, this 4-day course is designed to teach the delegates about the risks attached with ACM’s and overall how to ensure they are managed correctly using the correct tools. The course will also touch on how to overcome the issues presented with ACM’s using practical cases.
The BOHS accredited P405 course is designed to provide delegates with practical and theoretical knowledge and skills that will enable them to manage asbestos in buildings, as well as providing them with a basic understanding of asbestos removal procedures. The topics that will be covered are:
